Mr. Bigfoot

Represents the “Chaparral,” desert bird. The base/boot was shaped from rich, intricate, fossil saturated Chinese, henna limestone. The “foot” is a California, Mojave marble fragment. The leg column is California, black and red marble, followed by a Mexican onyx clavicle chin at the bird’s neck, a goatee tuft of black and red marble, and a Minnesota pipestone tongue. The piece is capped by the beak-prominent, jasper (CA) head. This amusing, whimsical work always makes me smile. Mr. and Mrs. Bigfoot are survivors, protecting and providing for a family in a harsh environment. All components turn.
