Mojave Light Fountain

A Mojave, tricolor marble basin, with a thick, Escondido, imperial blue granite base. The design is slightly, Jean Arp-Joan Miro kidney shaped, and the stone is left rough with the exception of the top surface and the interior well. The fountain will hold three gallons of water, and support a wide variety of water plants. The Mojave Marble Light Fountain was so-named because the water source for the fountain (a section of clear, plastic tubing, capped with copper) is located about three feet above the stone. When water falls into the fountain, the viewer does not see the water, the viewer sees the light, reflected off the stream of water.  This creates a sparkling ribbon of light dropping from the water source to the fountain bowl, three feet below.
