Autumn Leaves
AUTUMN LEAVES is designed to hang freely, and collect sunlight, which causes the stained glass to change in color value throughout the day, as the sun rises and sinks in the sky. The colors chosen are subdued and contemplative, to represent the Fall season. I had originally planned to build four, each representing one of the seasons. For example, “Autumn Leaves” represents harvest colors: pendulous grapes, toasty wheat and grains, wispy azure clouds, and champagne tributes. Summer would be ruby goblets, cobalt skies, turquoise foliage, and rainbow sunsets. Difficulties in finding the “right” glass have put this series on hold.
